Despite recent high profile claims from another supplier of noise monitoring systems, ANV Measurement Systems RCDS (Remote Control and Download Software) based on the Rion NL-32 sound level meter, remains the most widely-used remote environmental noise monitoring system on Crossrail demolition and constructions sites. The Crossrail project has no project-wide requirements regarding which noise monitors should be used and there is no requirement for contractors or consultants responsible for monitoring to use any particular brand of monitor or to sign up for a specific manufacturer’s subscription service.
Many contractors and consultants have opted for the ANV Measurement Systems and Rion solution because of its price, simplicity, proven reliability and the excellent support provided by ANV Measurement Systems team. The RCDS system has user-configurable alarms and there are no on-going costs other than the bill for an ordinary SIM card and calibration.

So whilst some manufacturers might be recently claiming to be on track for London’s Crossrail project, ANV Measurement Systems and Rion have been on track for some time and remain well ahead.
